We have no stake in a particular outcome. If the numbers say “do not start”, we say it plainly and explain the alternatives.
About us
We believe most business losses come not from a lack of enthusiasm but from a lack of analysis. Massar exists to make the distance between an idea and a decision a studied one — not a leap in the dark.
Our story
We kept seeing the same scene: someone with an excellent idea starts executing with enthusiasm, then discovers months later that the market is smaller than assumed, that the cost structure eats the margin, or that the team is operating without documented procedures. The problem was never the idea — it was the absence of analysis before financial commitment.
Massar Business & Planning was founded in Riyadh to be the party that tells you the number as it is: this is the opportunity, this is its cost, these are its risks, and this is what we recommend and why. Our deliverables are not decorative reports; they are decision tools used in board meetings, funding files and operating plans.
Today we operate through four integrated tracks — Analysis & Feasibility, Strategy & Planning, Finance & Modelling, and Operations & Governance — serving multiple sectors of the Saudi market with a team that combines financial, commercial and operational expertise.
Our values
We have no stake in a particular outcome. If the numbers say “do not start”, we say it plainly and explain the alternatives.
Every figure in our reports has a source and a stated assumption. No estimates of unknown origin and no ratios copied without context.
We write in the language of the decision maker, not of the discipline. The executive summary is enough to decide; the detail is there for those who want to go deeper.
An NDA before any data, restricted access within the team, and destruction or return of data on request.
We do not measure success by pages delivered, but by the decision that was taken and the result that followed.
We do not disappear after delivery. We stay through the first execution phase until the indicators settle on the right track.
Why Massar
We never start from a ready-made solution. We understand your situation first, then decide which tool fits — often simpler and cheaper than you expect.
We hand over the model open, with its formulas and assumptions — not a locked file that forces you back to us for every change.
We build the file in the structure Saudi funding entities require and review its completeness before submission.
Finance, marketing, operations and governance around one table — so you never receive a recommendation that is financially sound and operationally impossible.
An NDA before any data is received, restricted internal access, and destruction or return of data on request.
Thirty days of clarification support after delivery, and indicator reviews in the higher packages.
Working method
The same method applies to a five-thousand-riyal project and a hundred-thousand-riyal one. The depth changes; the sequence does not.
A discovery session with the decision maker to define the real question, gather available data, and agree the scope of work and success criteria.
Scope and success criteria document
Market research, data processing, benchmarking, and building the financial model while testing its assumptions.
Analytical base with documented assumptions
Framing the viable options with their scenarios, risks and returns, then nominating the recommended option with its justification.
Options, scenarios and recommendation
Converting the recommendation into an execution plan: initiatives, owners, timeline, resources and ready-to-use working tools.
Execution plan with owners and dates
Installing measurement indicators and the review cycle, and staying with you through the first weeks to correct course before deviations grow.
Indicators, review cycle and follow-up
Standards
Technical and financial studies follow internationally recognised structure (UNIDO methodology and equivalents): market study, then technical, then financial, then sensitivity analysis.
Projected financial statements are built in line with IFRS as adopted in the Kingdom, so they remain comparable and auditable.
We follow the structure and templates required by Saudi funding bodies, and review file completeness before submission.
We account for Ministry of Commerce requirements, ZATCA obligations, Saudisation ratios and Vision 2030 targets in every plan we build.
We comply with the Kingdom's Personal Data Protection Law in collecting, processing, storing and destroying your data.
The financial model is delivered open, with its formulas and assumptions visible, so your auditor or funder can review it cell by cell.
